ROCK FOR RADIO COMPETITION

THEN...

Rock for Radio was first launched in August 2007, at the Plenty Ranges Arts and Convention Centre, in conjunction with Leader Community Newspapers.

The event followed a band competition which ran in four Leader newspapers and at the radio station. Bands were invited to send in a CD and their song was played on radio and uploaded onto the Leader News website. Leader readers were then asked to vote for their favourite track.

The competition attracted entries from 40 bands and more than 2300 votes in less than two weeks.

This year the Rock for Radio event will be held on:

Sunday 2nd of November 2008
Plenty Ranges Arts & Convention Centre.

We invite all local aspiring youth rock bands and artists to participate in event.

Send a Demo CD of your music along with a brief biography, including contact details, to the Station via our Post Office Box: PO Box 148 Childs Road, Mill Park 2082.

Or deliver your Demo to our Studios at: 284 Childs Road, Mill Park (next to the Stables Kindergarten).

Your music will be played on-air on Sundays between 3 and 5pm** and will be loaded onto our website.

Listeners can then vote for their favourite track.

ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED BY THE 30TH SEPTEMBER 2008.
